Dr. Moldovan, our periodontist, and Dr. Malkin gave a lecture at NYU College of Dentistry to post-graduate and general dentists on dental restorative techniques. In the first 10 minutes of the lecture, they talk about experience working as a team, their dental treatment philosophy, and immediate load protocol.

Our NYC practice, Tribeca Advanced Dentistry doesn’t accept any HMO dental insurances while we are taking all major dental PPOs insurances. Why?

To understand why Tribeca Advanced Dentistry doesn’t think that it can efficiently provide high quality dental care within the rules and limitation of a dental HMO (and its cousin DMO), we should consider basic economics.

We have previously discussed how dental costs for complex dental procedures in NYC such as placing multiple dental implants, dental crowns or veneers in New York, could be very expensive. Good aesthetic or cosmetic dentistry not only often requires a specialist with advanced dental training such as prosthodontist or periodontist, but also an excellent dental lab which works with the dentist on custom design of dental crowns, veneers, or dental bridges.

When riding New York City subway you sometimes become an unwilling listener to a private conversation. I was on my way to my dental office in TriBeCa when I overheard two women in their mid-forties talking about how they wished they had prettier smiles.
